Ellerslie Flower Show Success
Salepro sponsors Foundation For The Blind
The RNZFB and Twinings Tea "SensibiliTea VIP Garden (for Vision Impaired People)" won a Merit award at the 2005 Ellerslie Flower Show and was visited by around 30,000 people. The garden was designed by Wellington deafblind member Merv Cox and his good friend Peter Kundycki, and built with the dedicated help of his wife Cheryl and sons Daryl and Shane, and deafblind members Peter Youngman, David Wilson (and his partner Pip) and John McPeak. Also on the "team" were blind, deafblind and vision-impaired members, Foundation staff and volunteers from other organisations including Friends of the Auckland Botanic Gardens and AUT University. The SensibiliTea garden was designed to stimulate all the senses.
